BRINGING THE WORLD RECORD
BACK TO TEXAS
IN SUPPORT OF
OUR TROOPS!

Pickin' for the Record II - June 26th, Austin, Texas Two years ago 1,867 guitar players got together in Luckenbach, Texas, and set the Guinness World Record for largest guitar ensemble.  Since then a larger group in Wroclaw, Poland, broke the Luckenbach record.  Good for them but Texans don't give up easily...

On Sunday, June 26th we will attempt to take back the Guinness World Record for the Largest Guitar Ensemble at the Texas State Capitol in Austin.  The South Steps of the Capitol are the ideal venue to create a new page in Texas music history and to demonstrate Texas’ unparalleled commitment to our men and women in uniform.

HELP US TAKE BACK THE WORLDS RECORD!

In 2009 event a group of pickers from the Sons of Hermann Hall’s weekly Electric Campfire Acoustic Jam chartered a bus for the trip to Luckenbach.  (Video here.)  The bus ride was as much fun as the event!  So much that we are doing it again for the June 2011 attempt.  Whether you are a picker or just want to hear what thousands of guitars sound like we hope you will join us.
